Meaning ‘good together’, Tjungu Palya is an art centre representing artists from the remote Indigenous communities of Watarru, Nyapari, Kanpi, and Angatja, SA. These communities lie in the heart of Pitjantjatjara Lands in the Western Desert, close to the Western Australian and Northern Territory borders.

An Aboriginal-owned and governed art centre since 2006, Tjungu Palya not only fosters artistic production in the region, but plays an important role in cultural maintenance, governance training and community development projects. © Tjungu Palya
